On 27 June, PANAF organised a one day virtual training on Partnership Engagement and Reflections on Existing Legal Frameworks for Protection of Artistic Freedom. The workshop aimed at mapping out and discussing the existing laws and regulations impacting freedom of creative expression in each country. The workshop employed the principles of peer-to-peer learning and participatory methods. The workshop delivery methods thus included a combination of plenary workshops and peer to peer reflections, with an overall focus on participatory methods, experience sharing for maximum participation and practical experience. At the end of the workshop, partners gained knowledge and skills on how to promote and safeguard freedom of opinion and expression particularly in the era of the internet and shared insights on how to effectively manage healthy and impactful partnerships. Partners were also given an opportunity to share feedback regarding reactions and expectations that the launch of PANAF elicited from different stakeholders.
