PANAF partners from Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ethiopia, The Gambia, and Zambia met for the second time in Zanzibar, Tanzania between 9 and 13 February to review the project’s work plan for the first year, 2022. Also in attendance were key decision makers from the ministries of culture, national arts council and arts unions. The meeting met its objectives in discussing the research recommendations and lobby strategies for 2023. Through exchanges among partners and key stakeholders, the meeting highlighted measures that should be implemented to promote artistic freedom and discussed lobby and advocacy strategies that should be adopted by PANAF in each country.
