Held from February 14–16, 2025, the second edition of the Pan-African Network for Artistic Freedom (PANAF) Summit convened 51 participants from 17 countries in Zanzibar, Tanzania. This comprehensive report captures the summit’s discussions, participatory methodology, and collective commitments toward advancing artistic freedom across Africa. It includes policy recommendations, sector-wide insights, and an actionable strategy developed by artists, policymakers, and civil society leaders. The report reflects PANAF’s continued mission to protect and promote the right to artistic expression as a cornerstone of democratic societies across the continent.
